Our Research

Designing, implementing, and evaluating interventions at the interface of the behavioral health and criminal legal systems requires us to tune into what’s happening within organizations, between agencies, and across the communities where interventions are implemented. We assess factors that impact implementation, develop strategies to enhance implementation and fidelity, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and inform real-world decisions.

Our collaborative research group is based at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work and we partner with researchers and students at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and the UNC School of Medicine. We have additional collaborators at Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Missouri, and the University of Utah.
