Allison (Ally) Waters is a PhD student at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work. Her research and clinical interests include diversion and community-based services for people with behavioral health disorders and criminal-legal involvement. Ally has previously worked in social and behavioral science research and community mental health. As an MSW student, Ally interned in the Orange County Office of the Public Defender, where she provided clinical interventions and mitigation services. Ally received a Master of Public Policy degree from University of Michigan and a Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill.
