Background:

The ATLAS Mobile Clinic is an innovative model designed to provide low-barrier access to treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) among residents of Robeson County. As a mobile model serving a rural, low-resource community, ATLAS has the potential to address barriers that can limit access to addiction treatment and bring services directly to individuals who may otherwise face challenges accessing care. In 2024, the NC Collaboratory funded the ATLAS Mobile Clinic Implementation Study. The HILS Lab conducted interviews to better understand how the ATLAS model is implemented in practice, how it is perceived within the community, and what factors may influence its ongoing implementation and sustainability.

Aims:

• Describe the implementation of process of the ATLAS Mobile Clinic

• Identify implementation determinants associated with project initiation and sustainment

• Identify best practices for engaging clients in program evaluation activities to examine program efficacy
